Positano Style

It's TravelingTuesday ~ and I am back on the Amalfi Coast.

I want you to meet one of my friends in Positano . . . I saw her every day as we walked into town.

We named her Francesca. She was very quiet and wouldn't tell us her name.

She had such a way with fashion ~ and never once complained.

Her style was all the soft cotton fabics that Positano is so famous for.

There weren't many looks she couldn't pull off . . .

Although, there were times when I had to give her a little fashion advise (as in . . . the big hat is a better look for you)

I would stop under the shade of her umbrella and have a chat . . . before we climbed the next 100 steps to our villa.

She is a marketing genius.

PhotoHunt 'Selfie'

The Saturday PhotoHunt is 'Selfie'
My new phone even has a selfie camera that makes it easier to do, so I tried it out in Italy.

Most of my Selfie's are not very flattering . . . But great memories just the same.

Lot's of laughs ~

and fun memories of the trip!

PhotoHunt ~ Dusk

One of my FAVORITE thing to do is find a spot with a glass of wine and a view of the Duomo at dusk. . .

The 'light show' is amazing. As the sun sets the reflection on the thousands of mosaics on the facade of the duomo is magical.

Ciao y'all ~

Whew ~ Traveling can be exhausting

I am home again . . .
and trying to recover from a bit of Jet lag.

It is a good feeling to know that everything I pull out of my suitcase has a memory attached (ok . . . and a few smells)
I packed for almost 5 weeks in a 24 inch suitcase ~ Using my trusty zip-loc bags.

Luckily, I had help with my suitcase when I needed it most.
We gladly paid Giuseppe to tote them up the flight of stairs to our villa in Positano. Other than that, I schlepped it on and off trains myself.

Atleast now that I am home, I don't have to do my laundry this way ~
Thank God for American washers and dryers.

I have tons of pictures to share, precious friends and memories of Bella Italia.
Once I get those zip-loc bags unloaded.
Ciao y'all ~

PhotoHunt ~Azure

The PhotoHunt for today is Azure ~ which is a shade of blue
The artists in Positano must go through a lot of blue paint

Beautiful Blues everywhere you look.

luckily I brought a bit of the Azure home with me. . . I'll show and tell when we photohunt the word 'framed'.

Cooking Light Virtual Supper Club

Our Cooking Light Virtual Supper Club for this month is going to 'Celebrate a Farmer'.
I decided to make these Hasselback Potatoes that I am seeing all over the blogisphere. Cooking light has This Demo - That describes the process . . . it is really very simple.

To prepare the potatoes, lay two chopsticks on either side. This will keep you from cutting all the way through. Make uniform slices along the whole length of the potato.
Soak in salted water to encourage the potatoes to open up.

Sprinkle with olive oil, sea salt and herbs.

Bake at 400 for 40- 50 minutes, or until done.

Now . . . let's see what everyone else has brought for our Farmer's Supper.
Jerry has a big bottle of Limoncello
Val is making Falafel Stuffed Eggplant
Susan is bringing Tempura Green Beans
Sara has tossed an Arugula Grape and Sun Flower Seed Salad.
Shelby is bringing Sesame Carrot Salad
Y'all enjoy ~

Traveling through Tuscany

It is Traveling Tuesday . . . and I really will be Travel through Tuscany
The poppies are not as plentiful this year . . . but there are still fields near the side of the road. I love the color. Instead of the Fiat Punto I am driving . . . maybe I need a little Fiat 500.
Or, a cute little APE so I can carry some purchases ~
Or maybe I should just hop on one of these ~
