Hummingbirds

Where are the hummingbirds this year?
I'm ready!

They must be stopped at one of the outlet malls along the way.
Have y'all seen any yet?

There's at least one about 2 hours northeast of you!

I haven't seen them yet, either...hopefully soon! You've got just the thing that they love, so they should be there soon.

I saw my first one yesterday while outside in my backyard shaking my fist at the hedge hog pups...I think I scared it away poor thing....

Sandi, just a note that your wine will ship later this week. Didn't want you to think I ahd forgotten about you. My grandpa Jack sits in the living room that has all glass windows loking out into the garden and I swear our hummingbirds had "dog fights" in the air like in fighter pilots n a war, they spin, dive bomb and tangle with one another. So entertaining!!

Tut-Tut~ Just after I posted this she must have flown from your feeder to mine!
Andrea~ I do think they are a little late this year, keep watching.
Early Bird~ I'll have to visit your blog for the rest of the story.
Sara~ I can't wait to try my 'slow burn' wine!

I saw one on the front porch here on the KY/Tn border...I didn't have anything for him...he just said 'trick or treat' then left empty winged...

We have one of those hummingbird feeders, too, in New Mexico, not in NYC,.

We saw one hummingbird at the lake a couple of weeks ago. We keep a feeder there. Others do to. Glad of that, as we don't always get back to fill the feeder.

J saw one by the patio, Sunday and put a feeder out. Haven't seen it since!!

We saw two a couple of days ago. Around here, where it's soooo hot during the day, they show up early in the morning and later in the evening. I've only seen those two so far but the level of the nectar is slowly going down. Perhaps I should get up earlier!

So that's what it is! A hummingbird feeder, must be great to see them out in the open!

I haven't seen a single one either. But then again, once our Baltimore Orioles arrive, the hummingbirds disappear. The orioles got here first, so I suppose the hummingbirds just may never come to the Cape! =(

Sandi,
I saw something somewhere about some health freaks feeding hummingbirds sugar substitutes in their feeders -- apparently because sugar is "evil."

Never saw one. We just get lots and lots of squirrels and rabbits.
